Ms. Vasinova’s interest in acting stemmed from her grandmother, a singer and actress in Prague. When her grandmother moved to the United States, she had to give up her aspirations in the arts since she couldn't speak English. Ms. Vasinova picked up her grandmother’s torch when a modeling scout approached her during one of her many trips to Manhattan that she took with her mother. She quickly signed with a modeling company in New York and spent the next several years in the modeling industry before a chance encounter with the casting director for “The Young and The Restless” opened the door to her acting career, which ultimately led her to Los Angeles.
